Roswell Celebrates Our Veterans

The 27th award winning Roswell Remembers Memorial Day Ceremony was held on Memorial Day 2026 with the presentation of the colors at Roswell City Hall by representatives from all military branches. Roswell Rotary sees this public service event as a great opportunity not only to serve, but also to remind and highlight those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy.

The moving program featured Retired Army Lt. Colonel Cary S King. with special music by Massie McKinley who sang "Proud to be an American" ending with a Firing Detail by the Roswell Fire & Police Departments then TAPS played by Jon Andersen to a crowd of approximately 3,500 in attendance.

Thank you to long-time supporter, Slopes BBQ, for selling lunches on-site following the ceremony for folks to stay, visit and share stories.

Significant appreciation to Roswell Rotary Club Past Presidents Dave Young, Committee Chair, and Lynne Lindsay for their incredible commitment to the largest known Memorial Day Ceremony in Georgia.  For more information:  nfultonpt@juno.com
